A Legacy of MBBS in Omsk State Medical University
Founded in 1920, Omsk State Medical University is one of the oldest medical institutions in Siberia and one of the key academic institutions in Russia offering a 6-year MBBS programme to all prospective Indian students. From its origins as a medical faculty in early Soviet times, OSMU Russia has trained thousands of doctors and healthcare professionals.
According to the RBC news agency in Omsk, approximately 600 Indian students pursue their MBBS in Omsk State Medical University. As a prestigious institution with a 100-year history, it is among the best-known regional universities in Russia. It functions as a state university under the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
